The Fourth of July in Haddonfield

Our 4th of July Parade & Fireworks are the heart of our volunteer efforts to keep Haddonfield as the cradle of "small town America".
We’ve had bands (including Mummers), veterans, floats, and lots of kids parading down King’s Highway for the last 75 years -- all topped off by a spectacular Fireworks extravaganza. For a town that just celebrated its 300th birthday, could anything be more patriotic -- or more important to what makes Haddonfield special?

Note: This year, 2021, we will not include the children's bicycle parade.

This is the big parade of the year. There is a lot of entertainment, but the main attraction is the participants form the community. Here is everything you need to know.
There are categories for Baby Parade, Tricycles, Big Wheels and Bicyles (Ages 6 and under, ages 7 and 8 and ages 9 and older. There are also cateories Dress Up Parade , Children's Groups of Floats, Neighborhood Groups and Floats and Organizational Groups and Floats. All of these groups should register at the table at the entrance to the Presbyterian Church that is on the driveway between the church and the Masonic Temple between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. on the 4th. Children will muster on the Central/Middle School field behind the church. Family, neighborhood and organizational groups and float will muster of Chestnut Street between King's Highway and Lincoln Avenue. These groups must register that morning in order to be judged. Other groups will be given participation ribbons at the lineup.
There is also a category for antique cars. The owners should register at the table in front of the Episcopal Church and then muster in the parking lot at the PATCO High Speed Line. Registration takes place from 8.30 to 9.30.
The parade will kick off at the Corner of King's Highway and Chestnut Street at 10.00 a.m. and continue to the Haddonfield Memorial High School. The announcements of winning Groups and Floats will be made at the High School around 11.30 a.m.

NOTE: There is no rain date for the parade.
NOTE: Children may not have motorized or battery operated vehicles unless accompanied by a parent. Children, ages 17 and under, riding a bicycle or skating must wear a helmet.
NOTE: No throwing of candy or other items allowed. Please pass out items by hand.
